Nickel Alloys
The crust and core of the planet are both rich sources of the useful metal nickel. Nickel is a desired metal with a number of desirable characteristics that make it valuable in industrial applications. It was first identified and isolated by Swedish chemist and mineralogist Axel Fredrik Cronstedt. One benefit of using nickel as an Nickel Alloys component to change the properties of other metals is that it is very ductile. For usage in chemical plants where exposure to caustic substances may be anticipated, nickel can be added to certain grades of stainless steel to generate alloys that offer corrosion resistance and high-temperature endurance.
