Medical textiles are the fibres, yarns, and fabrics that enable medtech (field of application) in the areas of healthcare, hygiene, infection control, barrier materials, polymeric implants, medical devices, and smart technologies. In addressing medical practises and procedures, such as treating an injury and managing a medical environment or scenario, medical textiles assist with a number of goods. Additionally, fibres for producing human organic tissues are included in Technical Textiles. These fabrics are employed in the building of ships, aircraft, spacecraft, railroads, and vehicles. Truck covers (PVC coated PES textiles), car trunk covers (typically needle felts), lashing belts for cargo tie downs, seat covers (knitted materials), seat belts, nonwovens for cabin air filtering (often covered in indutech), airbags, parachutes, inflatable boats, and air balloons are a few examples.
