Thursday, November 15th, 2016 marked the inaugural TEOS Tetraethyl Orthosilicate National Standard Seminar in Jinhong Gas Co., Ltd. The seminar was jointly organized by the Korea Institute of Standards and Technology (KIST), Jinhong Gas Co., Ltd., and the Association of Silicone Oil Refiners (ASSOIR).
The keynote speech was delivered by Dr. Jae Woong Lee, President of KIST. He touched on industry trends and discussed the relevance of TEOS standards in terms of reliability, sustainability, and cost-effectiveness. Following Dr. Lee's remarks, Mr. Chang Dong Ohn, Vice President for Corporate Strategy at Jinhong Gas Co., Ltd., offered an overview of Jinhong Gas' experience with TEOS standards development over the past few years.

TEOS Tetraethyl Orthosilicate National Standard Seminar Participants
On October 15-16, 2018, the TEOS Tetraethyl Orthosilicate National Standard Seminar was held at Jinhong Gas Co., Ltd. in Guangdong, China. The seminar was attended by representatives from the industry, research institutes and the government.
The main topics of discussion were the latest developments on TEOS tetraethyl orthosilicate (TEOS) and its applications, as well as quality control procedures for TEOS products. Representatives from Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd., Dow Chemical Co., Ltd., INEOS Chemicals PLC, Ashland Inc. and Celanese Corporation shared their latest findings and perspectives on TEOS technology development.
During the conference, Jinhong Gas Co., Ltd. released a new commercial grade TEOS product - TEOS XH grade - which has been developed in close collaboration with various national standard organizations. The purpose of the TEOS Tetraethyl Orthosilicate National Standard Seminar was to update and standardize the knowledge of tetraethyl orthosilicate (TEOS) in the industry. The seminar was held at Jinhong Gas Co., Ltd on September 25th, 2017. There were more than 60 participants from various companies and organizations including Pertamina, PT Jaya Gas, and Kementerian Pugaran Wilayah Persekutuan.
The seminar started with a welcome speech from Mr. Muhaimin Shamsuddin, Deputy Director General of Industry Development at Pertamina. Mr. Setyo Nugroho, Manager of Technical Services Division at PT Jaya Gas gave a keynote speech on "TEOS: Achieving Sustainable Productivity". Mr. Fadli Abbas, Director of Research & Development Department at Kementerian Pugaran Wilayah Persekutuan talked about "TEOS Applications for Natural Gas Processing". After the speeches, there were three panel discussions followed by questions and answers session.
The first panel discussion was focused on "TEOS Exploration & Production". Panelists consisted of Mr. Andi Miranda (Director - Exploration & Production), Ms. Nadia Maulana (Assistant Director - Exploration & Production), and Ms. Nisa Paramita (Process Engineer - Liquefaction). The TEOS Tetraethyl Orthosilicate National Standard Seminar was Held at Jinhong Gas Co., Ltd. on October 10, 2018. The event was jointly organized by the TEOS Association of China and the Jinhong Gas Co., Ltd.
The seminar aimed to promote the standardization of TEOS in China and to exchange experiences between industry professionals. The conference was divided into three parts: an overview of current TEOS standards; sharing experience on application of TEOS in products; and discussion and exchange of ideas on future development ofTEOS.
