Understand lab-grown diamonds with IYRA
Since each diamond shape is cut to different specifications, they reflect light differently, giving each shape its own fire and brilliance.

A lab-grown diamond is literally “grown” inside a lab using cutting-edge technology and processes that replicate the natural diamond growing process. The result is a diamond that is referred to as ‘lab-grown’ which has physical and chemical properties similar to a mined diamond. Although this diamond is not a natural diamond, lab-grown diamonds are referred to as such because they are grown in a laboratory under controlled conditions that simulate the conditions in a natural setting. They are also very stable and do not tend to break or tarnish as do natural diamonds. They are also not associated with the controversy and challenges of mining natural diamonds. The first lab-grown diamonds were created in 2003, but it has only been in the last couple of years that they have become widely available to consumers. Lab-grown diamonds can be made into exquisite jewelry and are a great alternative to mined diamonds, as they are far more environmentally friendly and ethically produced than natural diamonds.
