They think the uterine lining to stop a fertilised egg from adhering to the wall of the uterus (womb). Hormonal Contraceptives , sometimes known as birth control pills, are used to prevent pregnancy. The female hormones progestin and oestrogen are frequently combined in birth control pills, while progestin may also be present on its own. The use of contraception enables them to delay having until their bodies are ready to support pregnancy, women should not have children. It can also help older adults who run the risk of becoming pregnant avoid getting pregnant. By reducing unintended births, contraceptive use lessens the need for abortion.
