skincare beauty routine for supermodel

Confession time: We spend way too much time on YouTube. One of the things we drink matcha in the morning is what we call The Supermodel Skincare Diary. Having radiant, healthy-looking skin is a requirement of the modeling job; however, premature airtime, heavy makeup, and non-stop travel often detract from their glow game. Many of our modeling idols know how to maintain a solid skincare routine that leaves their skin plumped, dark circles locked, and skin firm. After watching hours and hours of YouTube skincare tutorials, we discovered some common themes, as well as great tools that we wanted to shout out about. Basically, we've looked at hours of content and picked the best bits, so you don't have to…

1. Chanel Iman's favorite DIY mask

DIY is the skincare bread and butter of the HB blogging family, so when we heard that Chanel Iman relied on a DIY skincare mask to brighten her glow, we knew she was one of us. The mask uses brightening turmeric (HB's favorite), hydrating honey, exfoliating milk (which contains lactic acid), and thickening flour. Iman admits she's been using this mask since she was 12, and if you need a receipt, just look at her B-E-A-UTIFUL skin!

2. Go-To Face Tool by Karlie Kloss

It's not just the skincare the models recommend in tutorials, they're also pouring in game-changing application techniques. Case in point: Irina Shayk shares a tip we've been told many times by dermatologists is to gently pat your formulas, especially serums, into your skin. By patting skincare products onto your skin, you can avoid the tugging or pulling that can lead to sagging over time. We mean, look at her skin!

We think it's safe to say we all want to age gracefully like Naomi, so we take her skincare tips as gospel. She's also worked in the industry for decades, working alongside the best, so her skincare teas are undoubtedly backed by leading dermatologists. Take her favorite ritual, for example: microneedling. Essentially, it's a tool used to make tiny incisions in the skin with the goal of causing micro-damages. In turn, this boosts collagen and elastin production for a firmer, more toned complexion. It also absorbs ingredients #genius well. The process should be done in a controlled manner, so be sure to check out our guide to real leather if you want to try it at home.

5. Supermodel Flagship: Eye Mask

Almost every supermodel skincare tutorial features eye masks—they're a must-have. Not only do they fight morning inflammation, but they also brighten, smooth and hydrate skin. After choosing some products? Well, Hailey Bieber loves the $25 Dieux Skin Forever eye mask, which is reusable—in fact, during the trial period, the eye mask lasted a year, until the logo started to fade with the routine fade. Fades with use. Ashley opted for the 111Skin Black Diamond Eye Masks, $17, and we can confirm they're pretty good. Find more of our favorite beauty products here.
