The new "mobile World of Warcraft content" is expected to be released at some point in WoTLK Gold the year 2022 as per Activision Blizzard's earnings for the fourth quarter of 2021 report. While it's reasonable to think it's an WoW WOTLK classic game but the specifics of the wording keep things a bit hazy.
"Blizzard plans to create significant expansion of its World of Warcraft franchise in 2022, which will include the launch of new adventures that are available in World of Warcraft, and the introduction of new game-based mobile World of Warcraft content into players in their hands for the first timeever," The report states.
The exact meaning of "mobile World of Warcraft content" will actually mean is anyone's guess. This isn't the first occasion Activision Blizzard has discussed World of Warcraft on mobile in an earnings call. In 2021, the company's earnings call said two free-to-play WoW WOTLK classic games were in the midst that were in "advanced design" and will enable "fans to play their experience of the World of Warcraft universe in completely innovative ways." It's important to note that the reports refer to the games for mobile devices being " World of Warcraft " games, and the games aren't " World of Warcraft," therefore don't expect Blizzard's MMO to make its way to mobiles in the near future.
World of Warcraft has technically offered "mobile content" prior to. In the past, with WoW WOTLK classic upgrades, users were able to make use of the mobile companion application to earn extra game resources, or play minigames that required you to level up followers before sending them on missions. World of Warcraft, Blizzard's well-known World of Warcraft -themed card game, is now available accessible on mobile devices. It's the World of Warcraft franchise originally began as real-time strategy games. However, one of the games to be played in this style was in buy WoTLK Gold 2003's World of Warcraft. It's not clear if the WoW WOTLK classic game will embrace the strategy of the franchise's origins or move in the opposite direction.
