French Fries Can Be A Part Of A Healthy Diet
French Fries, also known as chips or frites, are a staple food item around the world

It wasn't until World War I that French Fries became popular in the United States. American soldiers stationed in Belgium and France during the war were introduced to the dish and brought it back to the States, where it quickly became a popular snack. French fries are often criticized for being an unhealthy food choice due to their high calorie and fat content. However, when eaten in moderation, French fries can be a part of a healthy diet.

One medium-sized potato contains about 130 calories, 2 grams of protein, 30 grams of carbohydrates, and 3 grams of fiber. When potatoes are fried in oil, they absorb some of the oil, which increases the calorie and fat content. A serving of French Fries (about 10-12 fries) contains around 150-200 calories, 15-20 grams of carbohydrates, and 7-10 grams of fat, depending on how they are prepared.
