Pyrethroids are a class of synthetic insecticides derived from the natural pyrethrins found in the Chrysanthemum cinerariifolium plant. They are widely used in agriculture and household insecticides due to their effectiveness against a variety of pests and their relatively low toxicity to humans and mammals.
