Indore. On February 12, 2023, the police arrested the accused Ashutosh Srivastava in the case of setting fire to the principal of BM College of Simrol police station area.
Simrol police arrested him from the hospital late on Thursday night. Accused Ashutosh had suffered more than 30% burns after the incident. At the same time, Principal Vimukta Sharma has been shifted to ventilator support late on Thursday night.
The accused made these revelations during interrogation
According to the police, the accused told that earlier he wanted to commit suicide himself. Police believe that the accused is giving this statement to mislead. The accused is a psycho and has done such activities many times in the college. He has also once threatened college professor Vijay by showing a knife.
The accused told that, to carry out this incident, he bought petrol worth Rs 700 from a petrol pump on Khandwa Road and then bought a bucket of Rs 50 from Tejaji Nagar.
