"Heroes will also assist in the battle against God of Death in two Eye of Het mini-quests as they delve into OSRS Gold Het's Tomb seeking a powerful object that will assist the young gods in the course of the Elder God Wars saga," the press release states.
In a new event that runs from now until January 3, 2022 players will have the chance to receive an upgraded version of the iconic "Partyhat" it's an item that was initially only made available for Christmas events that was held in 2001. Originally , it was only available in red blue, green, yellow, purple, or white in RuneScape's "The Golden Party Hat Hunt" quest will allow players to obtain one of the most sought-after cosmetics in a metallic sheen.
Because the partyhats were only available for a limited period of time and were later removed anyone lucky enough to own one is able to sell the hats for billions of coins. Although the hats are strictly decorative and provide no stat bonuses, they are today the most costly item listed on Grand Exchange, hitting the maximum value of 2.1billion gold in the year 2015.
To get their hands on heads, or even heads, in a Golden Party Hat, players must complete "various goals" and collect eight golden shards as a reward for their efforts. Once all eight have been collected, they can be used to create a Golden Party Hat.
But there is a catch. Not only is the event time-bound, but only one golden hat will be created per player. Much like the 2001 hats, Jagex claims of the golden the hats "after the cut-off date the golden hats will not be earned again!"
It is unclear if the new item will affect the game's economy, and decreases the value of existing partyhats or is an entirely new and even more premium item remains to be determined. Jagex will be marking the event in Cheap OSRS Gold the same way and will transform the in-game Grand Exchange location into "a Golden Party Hat winter wonderland".
