How Bloomden Zirconia Can Make Your Ceramic Restorations Look Aesthetic
Whether you are looking for a new material to use for your ceramic restorations or you are already using Bloomden zirconia, you will appreciate the benefits of this material. Its translucency, durability and compatibility with your natural teeth will ensure that your ceramic restorations look as good as they possibly can.
Translucency
Various types of zirconia based materials such as cad cam zirconia are manufactured and studied for their chemical composition and mechanical properties. These materials should be able to resist mechanical stress and maintain their marginal fit. They should also maintain biocompatibility in the complex oral environment. The aim of this study was to evaluate the fracture resistance of multilayer zirconia materials.
Multilayered zirconia materials were analyzed using scanning electron microscopy (SEM), energy-dispersive spectroscopy (EDS), and bending tests. These tests confirmed that the materials are suitable for clinical use. The results also revealed the effects of the thickness, grain size, and defect distribution on the fracture resistance of the tested materials.
Multilayered zirconia exhibited good aesthetic qualities. They have comparable aesthetic properties to lithium disilicate glass-ceramics and conventional zirconia. They are recommended for anterior teeth restorations. Compared to conventional zirconia, the translucency values of the multilayered zirconia were increased. However, bending tests revealed that the flexural strength of the multilayered zirconia discs was lower.

Compatibility with natural teeth
During the past few years, the application of zirconia and ceramic materials has grown in restorative dentistry. This is attributed to the improvement in their optical and bio-mechanical properties. A large number of experimental and clinical cases have demonstrated zirconia's biosafety. However, zirconia ceramics have some limitations. Zirconia is susceptible to delamination when bonded to veneered ceramics, which can lead to chipping. Moreover, the use of zirconia is associated with chemical aging and wear of the antagonist tooth with dental resin blank.
In this study, the mechanical behavior of four types of zirconia-based materials was studied. The materials were tested using the Instron 8872 Universal Testing Machine, which has a load cell of 25 kN. Bending tests were conducted on the samples.
The bending strength of zirconia dental prostheses was influenced by the shape and distribution of the particles. Zirconia material with reduced structural defects showed enhanced mechanical behavior. Moreover, zirconia material with an increased grain size area below 0.5 um2 exhibits enhanced mechanical behavior.

Sintering cycle
Using multilayer zirconia materials for fixed dental prostheses has become commonplace. These materials have the potential to improve the aesthetic appearance of restorations and are recommended for full mouth prosthetic rehabilitations. However, these materials are not without their drawbacks. They have to be ground with special attention and should be able to withstand mechanical stress and maintain chemical stability.
The main goal of this study was to analyze multilayered zirconia materials like dental lab zirconia block for morphology, mechanical properties, and chemical composition. For this, the specimens were characterized by EDS, scanning electron microscopy, and bending tests. The results of these tests showed that multilayer zirconia materials had a high aesthetic potential, but their mechanical properties were affected by the thickness, chemical composition, and surface treatment.
The morphology of multilayered zirconia materials is characterized by grain size, crystal configuration, and crystal structure. In the bending tests, the grain size of the material influences the fracture toughness. The size of the grain increases with the temperature and increases the toughness of the material.
CeramStar Glaze and Stain Kit
Using the CeramStar Glaze and Stain Kit for Bloomden zirconia ceramic restorations will provide you with a high shine finish that will enhance your restoration. The smooth surface will ensure that the restoration is easier to clean and will prevent bacteria from adhering to it. In addition, the high shine will provide your restoration with a better colour stability.
The CeramStar Glaze and Stain kit for Bloomden zirconia ceramic as well as dental zirconia restorations includes one bottle of CeramStar Glaze, one bottle of CeramStar Stain, and one bottle of CeramStar Glaze and Stain Guide. Each bottle of glaze and stain has been specially formulated to work with the 3D Pro Multilayer Zirconia Blocks.
