Hello Dominik, thank you for taking the time to interview with us! To begin with, please briefly introduce yourself and your team at Music Traveler :

Music Traveler was founded in 2020 by the two co-founders Aleksey Igudesman and Julia Rhee. I'm Head of Operations at Music Traveler and have been a founding member since the beginning.

The rest of the team consists of musicians and culture lovers who are mainly based in Vienna and New York.

Perhaps would you like to introduce your startup to us at the very beginning of our interview?

Music Traveler is a platform that allows musicians to find almost any space where music can be made. We believe that no one needs to spend hours searching for rooms to play music, whether they are touring or just beginning their musical journey. We make it very easy to book the right rehearsal room or venue. In addition to our core business, we also develop other services to help musicians so that they can concentrate on the essentials.

What problem do you want to solve with Music Traveler?

Musicians all over the world are constantly looking for a suitable rehearsal room.

With our platform, we want to help these musicians book more targeted rooms for the respective occasion. On the one hand, it's about spaces in your own city, but also when you're traveling, if you don't have your own instruments with you or are on tour.

In addition to normal rehearsal room providers, private individuals can also rent their rooms with or without instruments on Music Traveler and generate additional income.

How did the idea for Music Traveler come about?

We love music and we love Vienna. For us musicians, it is always a big challenge to find suitable practice rooms, especially when we travel. As a pianist, for example, one is often confronted with the fact that hotel rooms rarely have a piano. But violin players are also familiar with the problem that neighbors quickly feel disturbed. With Music Traveler it is very easy to find a suitable practice room and, at the same time, to meet new music-loving people.

Basically, we develop Music Traveler to make our lives as musicians easier.
