The camera module is a little gadget that attaches to the Raspberry Pi and snaps photographs of its surroundings. It is powered by the General Purpose Input/output (GPIO) pins on the Raspberry Pi. A lens is included with the module, and it is fastened to the top of the module. The sensor board receives a sharp image thanks to the lens. The image is subsequently converted by the sensor board into digital data and transmitted to the computer over the I2C channel.

The Camera Module and the sensor board are the two components that make up the sensor board. The lens and sensor board are both inside the module. The module notifies the sensor board of an image it has received by sending the picture's data. The knowledge is transformed into digital information and transmitted across the I2C bus to the computer. The parts required to transform the analogue signal into digital data are on the sensor board.
