"I had the pleasure of spending the greater part of the morning examining the issue, as well as obtaining statements from over 20 individuals," Schaffer told reporters. "The witnesses corroborate that Tharold did nothing wrong absolutely nothing illegal, and he acted with dignity and respect throughout the whole experience. I am 100 percent certain that no charges will be filed. We are currently looking into filing an action against the company for violations on Tharold's rights as a civil person."
Based on the information from the police report Simon didn't want to take his car to accommodate an officer from his home town in Eunice, La. Instead, he said he turned his radio completely up, and threatened to get the officer fired if they tried to write Simon an accusation.
