Step 1: Check the ink cartridges
- Remove all the ink cartridges. Check whether the ink level in any of the ink cartridges is low.
- To check the ink cartridges, open the Canon IJ Status Monitor.
- Select the Maintenance tab and click View Printer Status.
- If you find that the ink level is low, replace the particular ink cartridge with a new one.
Step 2: Cleaning the print head
- Remove the print head and clean the copper contacts on it thoroughly.
- Hold the print head under a hot water tap and flush out the dried ink inside it. Now, dry the print head.
- Reinstall the print head. Make sure that the ribbon cable connector is fixed correctly in the print head.
- Check if the Canon printer error code B200 appears again.
Step 3: Reinstall the printer driver
- If the issue persists, reinstall the printer driver as the error may also occur if the printer driver is corrupted.
- Uninstall the printer driver installed on your computer.
- You can download the latest version of the printer driver from the official Canon website.
- Mae sure to download the printer driver for your operating system.
