Changing the DNS settings of your MacBook
If you find the Wi-Fi icon with an exclamation mark on your MacBook, it means that it is unable to get the proper DNS from your Internet service provider. To fix it, check and change the DNS settings on your MacBook
- Step 1:On the System Preferences screen, select the Network menu.
- Step 2:In the opened window, select your network and click on the Advance button.
- Step 3:Go to the DNS tab.
- Step 4:Click on the Plus icon below the DNS Servers section.
- Step 5:In the given field, type the DNS server correctly.
- Step 6:Similarly, click the Plus button below the Search Domains field and type the search domain correctly in the given field.
- Step 7:Click the OK button
